King Honey Farm and La Brouette Gardens have decided to offer this flower mix to provide nectar and pollen to bees, butterflies and other pollinating insects.

Bees are important for the pollination of the plant world and they play an essential role in healthy ecosystems.

Here are the steps to follow to sow your flowers:

  • Wait until the last frosts have passed and the temperature is above 10°C ;
  • Fill a large pot with soil or prepare the soil in your flower bed;
  • Place the seeds in the soil and cover them with a thin layer of soil (5 mm or 1/4 in);
  • Lightly moisten the soil;
  • If it is in a pot, place it in the sun .

Germination will take 15 to 20 days .

Here is the list of flowers you will find. It is a mix of annual and perennial flowers native to Quebec that blend harmoniously into our ecosystem:

Centaury Mix (Petroselinum crispum hortense), Coriander Santo (Coriandrum sativum), Cosmos Tango (Cosmos sulphureus), Coreopsis Lance Leaved (Coreopsis grandiflora), Marigold Kablouna (Calendula officinalis), Myosotis Firmament (Cynoglossum amabile), Virginia Tobacco (Nicotiana tabacum).
