Vous vous demander peut-être ce qu'est le mouvement Fleurir le Québec ? Et encore plus comment boire de l'alcool peut devenir un geste écologique ?!?
Au cours de l'été 2025, nous avons décidé à la Miellerie King de lancer ce mouvement qui vise à poser des actions concrètes afin d'aider les abeilles et les pollinisateurs en général. Pour nous, il est essentiel de protéger nos valeureuses abeilles puisque s'il n'y a plus d'abeilles, il n'y aura plus de vins et de spiritueux de miel et, plus largement, notre monde sera en péril!
En ce moment, nous faisons face à une situation hors de l'ordinaire qui demande à prendre des actions concrètes pour le changement. En effet, à l'heure actuelle, le taux d'extinction des pollinisateurs est 100 fois plus élevé que la normale. Des actions doivent donc être déployés pour faire face à cette situation et, le mouvement Fleurir le Québec vise à faire partie de la solution.
La Miellerie King est donc fière d'être l'un des instigateurs du Mouvement Fleurir le Québec qui a pour but de sensibiliser la population à l’apport vital des abeilles et des insectes pollinisateurs à notre société. Dans un monde où les rendements agricoles sont d’une importance capitale et où l’utilisation de pesticides devient de plus en plus intense, nous sommes fiers de nous joindre à cette initiative originale qui a pour but de faire notre part pour freiner le taux d’extinction des précieux pollinisateurs.
Plus concrètement, nous nous engageons pour chaque bouteille de nos nouveaux releases estivaux vendus à notre boutique à verser un montant nous permettant de semer 10 pieds carrés de fleurs mellifères. Nous annoncerons cet automne les divers partenariats que nous aurons conclu pour aller semer ces fleurs au cours du printemps prochain.

Flowers everywhere
By planting and sowing trees, plants, and flowers that are good for bees and pollinators. The more abundant and diverse food sources bees and pollinators have, the better they will fare.

Let's leave our lawns and grasslands alone.
By letting dandelions grow freely on your lawns and by having lawns with diverse flora (while respecting the applicable regulations in your municipality, of course. In most municipalities, grass should not exceed 20 cm in height and must be mowed at least once a month), and by having lawns composed of several types of flowers (for example, clover, thyme, etc.) and not just grasses, you will greatly help the bees.

Share the good news
By sharing your participation in the movement using #fleurirlequébec or #miellerieking, and by taking the most beautiful photos possible of your property and the actions you are taking to participate in the movement, this will help to raise awareness of the movement.
Taking a picture of a bottle from Miellerie King or of you holding a glass and sharing it on your social networks also works.

Drinking wines and honey spirits from Quebec
Last but not least, we must reach out to and support Quebec's honey wine and spirits producers who, through their work, value the hard work of bees and contribute, through their various actions, to the protection of bees and our ecosystems. And it's even better when those beekeepers are us!
Flowers for the bees
We have several packets of bee-friendly plant seeds in our shop, which are good for bees and other pollinators. These flower seeds, specially selected to help bees, were grown and harvested by a local seed producer. The flowers you will receive are adapted to Quebec's climate and meet the needs of bees and other local pollinators! Here's what's in them:
