Or how can drinking alcohol become an environmentally friendly gesture?!?

You might be wondering what the "Fleurir le Québec" movement is? And even more so, how drinking alcohol can become an environmentally friendly gesture?!?
Quebec Honey Wines and Spirits are proud to launch this movement, which aims to take concrete actions to help bees and pollinators in general. For us, protecting our valiant bees is essential because without bees, there will be no more honey wines and spirits, and more broadly, our world will be in peril!
We are currently facing an extraordinary situation that demands concrete action for change. Indeed, the current rate of pollinator extinction is 100 times higher than normal. Action must therefore be taken to address this situation, and the Fleurir le Québec movement aims to be part of the solution.
King Honey Farm is proud to be one of the initiators of the "Flowering Quebec" Movement, which aims to raise public awareness of the vital contribution of bees and pollinating insects to our society. In a world where agricultural yields are of paramount importance and pesticide use is becoming increasingly intensive, we are proud to join this unique initiative, which aims to do our part to slow the extinction rate of these precious pollinators.
Thus, throughout the year, we invite the public, municipalities and businesses to show their participation in the #fleurirlequébec movement in several ways:
01
Flowers everywhere
By planting and sowing trees, plants, and flowers that are good for bees and pollinators. In several participating garden centers, you'll find the "Fleurir le Québec" (Blooming Quebec) logo on plants relevant to this mission. Workshops on making seed bombs to throw in neglected or underutilized spaces can also help. We will also be distributing 4,000 flower seed packets at the launch of the movement. Click here to discover the contents of the flower seed packet.
02
Let's leave our lawns and grasslands alone.
By letting dandelions grow freely on your lawns and having lawns with diverse flora (while respecting the applicable standards in your municipality, of course. In most municipalities, grass must not exceed 20 cm in height and must be cut at least once a month).
03
Share the good news
By sharing your participation in the movement using the hashtag #fleurirlequébec, by taking the most beautiful photos possible of your property and the actions you are taking to participate in the movement, this will help to raise awareness of the movement.
You can also proudly display your "Flowering Quebec" poster in your window to show your support for the movement. Click here to download the poster for free.
For families and artists, by coloring the black and white version of the free downloadable poster (the 3rd model)

Drinking wines and honey spirits from Quebec
Last but not least, by meeting and encouraging the producers of honey wines and spirits in Quebec who, through their work, value the hard work of bees and participate, through their various actions, in the protection of these bees and our ecosystems.

Contents of the flower seed packet
We have several packets of bee-friendly plant seeds in our shop, which are beneficial for bees and other pollinators. These flower seeds, specially selected to help bees, were grown and harvested by a local seed producer. The flowers you will receive are adapted to Quebec's climate and meet the needs of bees and other local pollinators! Here's what's in them:
